When Rose was 17, he made two entrances into the golf world: first, he played in the Walker Cup as the youngest golfer ever, and second, on Sunday at the 1998 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, he holed a 50-yard shot from the rough for a birdie, tying for fourth place and winning the silver medal for the low amateur. The next day, he went professional.

1st Professional Victory

Has Justin Rose won the Masters? Following the 1998 Open Championship, Rose missed his first 21 straight professional cuts.
